Only in Alaska

Each  destination has it's unique qualities, claims to fame, and personality.  Where in the lower 48 one state tends to blend into it's neighbor, Alaska tends to be an "island" and is one of a kind.  It's no secret that we share the outdoors with wildlife and we must respect their boundaries.  Aircraft also has first priority on our road system.  We can walk into the local Fred Meyer and purchase groceries, back to school clothes, a TV, dog food, linens, furniture, salmon roe, a gun and ammunition.  No waiting period here.  So many times we find ourselves saying "Only in Alaska".

Where else can you drink glacier water along side the highway?

Camo lingerie for Valentines Day?  Located in the gun section of Three Bears.

Water pump available at Eklutna Lake.

Sign between Lake Hood and Lake Spenard remind us that planes have 1st priority on the roads!

Campbell Track signs reminding us that we are a visitor and the wildlife was here first!
